Transform the Future

OF OUR Emerging Leaders
and Entrepreneurs!

80 years ago, DECA organized around an ambitious goal: to improve education and career opportunities for students interested in careers in marketing, merchandising, management and entrepreneurship. What began with a few hundred students in 17 states has grown to over 316,000 students in all 50 states, plus Canada, Guam, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Germany.

The objective of marketing education and DECA is to teach marketing and management skills in career areas such as retail operations and management, advertising, hospitality and tourism, finance, international marketing, sports and entertainment marketing, and entrepreneurship. The curriculum is tailored to the specific career goals of students and includes basic scholastic and communication skills, human relations and employability skills with an emphasis on economics and free enterprise.

SPONSOR

Place your company or university in the center of our State Career Development Conference, which draws over 4400 attendees each March from over 160 chapters.

Contact Marshall Conley for more information!

DONATE

Michigan DECA invites you to make a tax-deductible contribution to support our annual State Conference.

Your donation will be pooled with others to support an event at the conference. This will allow us to maintain our registration fees so we do not price members out from attending the conference.

Please contact Dave Wait if you would like information if you or your company can sponsor an event.

Clicking on the link will take you to the EMU Foundation, who administers Michigan DECA’s Development account.

EXHIBIT AND ADVERTISE

Promote your company or school while in turn supporting our mission to produce college and career-ready students.

Options include packages that include exhibit tables at our conferences, as well as advertisements in our student newsletter, which is published and mailed to our chapters three times a school year.

Individual advertising and exhibiting options are also available.

Contact Ann Day if you have any questions.
