State Leadership Conference

Detroit, Michigan

November 7 – 8

The 2016 State Leadership Conference provides students with the first opportunity of the year to network and collaborate with members from across the state. The conference will be held at the Marriott at the Renaissance Center in Detroit November 7-8, 2016. Engaging workshops and key note speakers are being planned for members attending.  Members will also get the time to network with representatives from some of the top colleges in Michigan. A mock competition and a dinner cruise on the Detroit Princess riverboat will be held for those attending both days of the conference.

Whether you want to learn more about how being a DECA member can help you OWN YOUR FUTURE, or are a returning member getting ready for the year ahead, there is something for everyone at the State Leadership Conference!

Conference Location

All conference activities will take place at the Detroit Marriott. For Monday’s dinner cruise, the Detroit Princess’s boat dock is short walk away on the Riverwalk. Chapters will walk together as a group to and from the hotel.

Each delegate attending the conference must sign the Michigan DECA Delegate Code of Conduct Form. This form is to be hand-carried to the conference by the advisor and not sent in with the registration.

Dress Code

During the conference and on the Detroit Princess dinner cruise:
To allow students to fully participate with the leadership activities, business casual attire will be allowed.
